ÜKM E06 - Inside the Fight IQ of Miguel Trindade: Üks Kaks Maks Seminar Recap

When Üks Kaks Maks announced that GLORY Kickboxing’s featherweight #1 Miguel Trindade would be coming to Estonia, we knew it would be something special. But what unfolded over three days was more than just a seminar — it was a deep dive into world-class striking, mindset, and community.

This VLOG captures the full experience — from Miguel’s arrival in Tallinn to powerful lessons on the mat, and the quiet moments in between where champions are made.

Day 1: Arrival, Podcast & First Impressions

Miguel landed in Tallinn on a warm April afternoon but brought with him a calm energy that immediately set the tone. After a quick lunch at Yui Resto, he sat down for an exclusive Üks Kaks Maks podcast episode where we explored his personal journey, from childhood in Sintra to leading the featherweight rankings in GLORY.

That conversation gave us insight into Miguel’s mindset — focused, humble, and ruthlessly efficient. Just like his fighting style.

Day 2: Seminar at Arigato – Timing, Distance, and Efficiency

The next day, fighters and coaches gathered at Arigato Sports Center for a two-hour seminar led by Miguel. What stood out wasn’t flashy combos or killer drills — it was simplicity executed at the highest level.

Miguel broke down:

  • How to open up your opponent with movement

  • Using distance and timing to control the fight

  • The value of staying calm and reacting instead of forcing

His coaching style was clear and practical. He took time to correct techniques individually, explain deeper principles, and show how to impose your style without overcommitting.

Everyone left sweaty, smiling, and smarter.

Evening: Community, City Lights & a Bit of Pool

After the seminar, we took Miguel for dinner in Tallinn’s Old Town at La Cucina di Orm Oja — great food, better conversations. It was a chance for everyone to wind down, laugh, and reflect on the day. We wrapped it up with a few rounds of pool, where Miguel showed he’s just as competitive off the mat (even if his pool game could use a bit more footwork 😉).

Why This Seminar Mattered

This wasn’t about big crowds or commercial hype. It was a focused, intimate opportunity to learn from a world-class athlete in real time. Miguel’s ability to explain concepts clearly, adapt to different skill levels, and stay 100% present made this event something truly valuable.

More than that, it showed that top-level fighters aren’t just defined by their record — but by how they give back, teach, and inspire.

Big Thanks

Thank you to everyone who trained, helped organize, and brought energy into the room. And a huge shoutout to @miguel_triindade for his humility, skill, and presence. This won’t be the last time.
